Final Project update

Here is the link to my group’s final project update post.

My work on this project has primarily been in gathering information for the spreadsheet of all club information. This involves finding a list of all clubs, doing some basic research on each club, emailing club leaders for more information(if necessary), and inputting this information onto the spreadsheet. As the project moves forward, I’m planning on familiarizing myself with the technical aspects of the project(Omeka, Curatescape) and assisting those group members in creating the interactive map and/or timeline.

Final Project Proposal

Here is the link to my group’s final project proposal.

I believe that the soul of a college is well reflected by what kinds of activities that their students engage in. Through this project, I hope to personally get a better sense of what kind of things Carls do / have done for fun and then be able to showcase that for anyone else who might be curious. I know Carleton has a lot of interesting traditions, so I look forward to learning a lot throughout the creation of the project!

About

Hi, I’m a student at Carleton College, pursuing majors in Computer Science and Statistics. My first love will always be CS, but recently I’ve become very interested in the ways statistics that can be used to make sense of and discover patterns within large amounts of data. From working on an iOS app for Carleton’s neuroscience lab to tinkering with side projects in my free time, I’m strongly driven to use my skills towards discovering new insights and producing interesting and impactful work.
